Her intimate knowledge of the correct form of letters, ordering of the various parts and harmony of proportions makes her compositions works of art. Read on to discover what drives her passion for this beautiful art form.
1. Describe your work experience over the past few years?
It has been great! I have been doing this for about 3 years or so now. I get to meet a lot of new people along the way, people who share similar interests as well or even those who attended my workshops purely to spend time with their other halves! (Men, I salute you!) Either way, it has been truly amazing and a blessing for me to share my passion with others (:
2. So why did you decided to work independently instead?
I chose to do calligraphy because it is my interest and passion – it was a hobby turned business/career opportunity for me. Apart from calligraphy, I am also putting my experience to good use doing graphic design work for wedding stationery. It’s the little details that matter and I love being a part of it all, making my client’s big day that extra special (:
3. Share some interesting facts about your talented service.
I can do calligraphy with any other tools apart from a pen, nib and ink! Even a stick on sand can be used as a canvas to create a masterpiece. I like to test boundaries when it comes to special request by clients – even if it is as simple as a watercolour piece with calligraphy framed up, or the clear glass mugs/cups that are in my shop (also designed using calligraphy). Possibilities are endless!
4. Why should customers book you?
In this saturated industry, you would want someone who is passionate in what they do, experienced and skilled to be able to produce good quality work and make your money’s worth. I am not one to skimp on quality when it comes to wedding stationery (& pretty much everything else), so rest assured I will suggest the best possible options that will work within/around your budget.
5. Why do you want to work with StageMetro?
I feel that this is a good platform for like-minded entrepreneurs to make full use of, given the opportunity because starting out on your own, literally from scratch & having to do your own marketing, shop, website etc is really hard work! StageMetro has all the basic requirements that you’ll need to kick-start your business and even help you with things like accepting payments directly online, in the long run. This will give you more time to focus on your own work (:
